Here are the steps that I took to make my Firefox looks like Internet Explorer 7. You are probably asking yourself, why would anyone go through this process? Well there are a few reasons that I can think of. 1st if you are a consultant or the computer guy or gal that everyone call to “fix” their PC and are sick and tired of cleaning virus/spyware off clients PC’s and they are reluctant to switch to Firefox. 2nd if you want to play a joke on a co-worker. Have fun with it.

Go to Mozilla Firefox Add-ons page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox

Click on the Theme section and search for Internet Explorer.

Find the Theme that you like the best. I chose the Vista-IE-7.0 -Aero Theme. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10274

There is one slight problem, the Firefox logo is on the titlebar along with the words Mozilla Firefox.

To get rid of all signs of Firefox you will need to perform a few additional steps.

Google Internet Explorer icons and download your favorite to your desktop. I found mine here http://www.freeiconsweb.com/Internet_Explorer7_Icons.html

Rename the Icon that you are going to use to main-window.ico.

Go to the Mozilla Firefox directory (Usually C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome) and create a folder icon and inside of icon create a folder default. (Your folder should look like this C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\icons\default)

Copy the main-windows.ico that you just renamed to the default folder you just created.

Download Titlebar Tweaks 1.8.1 so you can remove Firefox from the titlebar. Here is a direct link to the add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/10495

Go to Tools/Add-ons then click on Extensions. Select Titlebar Tweaks and click on Options. Click on Browser Name and change the Custom Browser

Here is what your Firefox Title should look like.
